Tango

by Misharra Hefler

Chests tightly woven together
by threads of song
by hearts thumping
shared rhythms —
this fleeting connection
like a murmuration of birds
creates impossible
impermanent
beauty
unique to each couple
as the music whispers,
“There is no one right way to connect your soul to another.”
What a gift it is
to relinquish control,
for two perfectly
imperfect
people
to create a moment
that does not have to last forever.

Our goal is to create a megaphone for the voices of social tango dancers around the world. Would you like to share on this blog some tango thoughts that can help others on their tango journey? Let me know here. If you don't have Facebook, you can send an email here.

Ode to tango

I wonder how you caught me, and lured me into your arms. And how you besieged my soul, without ever asking for it.   I wonder how you sometimes made me fly, but yet again and again left me drowning. And what can you possibly gain by making me loose balance and faith....

My first crisis in tango (and how I survived it.)

My first crisis in tango (and how I survived it.) by Tatiana Litunovskaya I came to tango as many of us - accidentally.  Middle-aged, no serious dance background, no real sport, not thick, not thin, not “feet-to-ears beauty”, not especially capable of dancing; you...
